“The Last Hope of the Nation”
This painting is my artistic interpretation—an homage to the cultural impact of Superman (created by Siegel & Shuster, owned by DC Comics).
I drew inspiration from the visual voices of Rafa Sandoval, Viril the Mouse, James Dunn, Chicago mural traditions (King Von tribute), and the layering energies of Basquiat, Lichtenstein, and Emory Douglas.
Like Gil Scott-Heron said, “The revolution will not be televised.”
This is my remix of that truth through paint, texture, and story.
Pop culture, protest, and perseverance collide on canvas. Hope.
